About Us
The prayer garment traditionally used by Emirati women was a veil, commonly referred to as a shila in our Emirati dialect. This thin, wide cotton fabric is typically wrapped around the head in one smooth motion, covering both the head and the body. However, over time, I found that the simple shila did not adequately meet the needs for prayer—at least not for me. Often, the prayer shawl was too light and transparent, hindering my movements during prayer and sometimes failing to provide sufficient coverage. This realization led me to seek a more practical and efficient design for prayer attire. I was inspired to create the Siyally prayer dress. After developing the design and testing it, I presented it to my sisters and daughters. They welcomed the idea enthusiastically and encouraged me to take the next step: to start a project that would make this innovative garment available to everyone. The Siyally prayer garment is distinguished by its unique design and thoughtfully chosen fabric, offering my Muslim sisters ease of wear, comfort, and tranquility during all prayer positions. We hope that you have a fulfilling spiritual experience with Siyally prayer robes, and we thank you for allowing us to share this important aspect of your life with you.
